| More Information About Our Company |
WINBCO, an ISO 9002 Compliant Company, offers more than 60 years of experience in the construction of custom processing systems and equipment for use in the grain, ethanol, hydrocarbon, chemical, bulk solids, fruit juice processing plants and in the brewing industry.
The rising demand for food and other processing systems and related equipment, especially in the grain processing area, has resulted in contracts with numerous leading corporations for well planned, efficient and economical systems.
The energy squeeze of the 1970's brought into focus by the shortage of crude oil, and the demand for alternative sources of energy, have significantly enhanced WINBCO 's position as a primary vendor of processing equipment and systems. In 1978, we fabricated and constructed continuous Steep Tanks for the first commercial anhydrous alcohol producing plant in the country, the end product of which is blended with gasoline in the development of ethanol enhanced fuel. Since then we have participated in practically all viable ethanol plant construction and expansions.

WINBCO offers our customers a full range of services, tailored to your individual needs and capabilities. We have the capacity to build partial systems or assume total responsibility of planning, engineering, including fabrication, logistics and installation. Our involvement begins with raw material acquisition and extends to coordination with the customer's general contractor to assure an expeditious and systematic execution of the entire project.
Our operations are flexible and can be geared to fit any project requirement established by the customer including: original planning of complete systems, conversion, modification, retrofit, upgrade or replacement, expansion of additional systems or components.
All projects are coordinated through a project manager charged with establishing and monitoring various schedules for all operational phases from engineering through final field erection.
Our technical services staff works closely with you, analyzing specific problems or developing basic ideas to devise the most advantageous system possible. Engineering follows a two-phase program. Initially, it drafts preliminary drawings to assist our purchasing department in determining material requirements and establishing supplier and vendor contacts as well as delivery schedules. In the second phase, engineering establishes final configuration and fabrication criteria for the project.
We recognize the value of efficient material acquisition and its effect on cost, product quality and performance, as well as final completion of the project. Our established material sources can supply us with coil or flat plate which enables us to balance the material requirement for zero scrap and the most efficient construction method.
Liaison activities are directed by a special coordinating department and conducted by field representatives on a continual basis. Liaison personnel work with a project manager, other WINBCO departments, the customer's representatives and contractors to keep the project running smoothly and on schedule.
